The size of the logo on the page is not restrictive as long as it is used within it's exclusion zone. It can be positioned anywhere on the page providing the left-hand side of the exclusion zone is touching the left of the page.
When applying text to the page, use the logo and exclusion zone to create a grid structure.
Keeping the layout and levels of copy simple will aid readability and understanding.

Using the horizontal grid lines from the logo and exclusion zone, you can start to construct your page adding images and colour as appropriate.
